Pulsed Light Treatments

What is Avalon Light Therapy?

We all laughed when Spock and friends healed people with light.

But now life has imitated art with this revolutionary all-purpose light treatment.

- Your cells will be revived

- Your stress and tension will melt away

- Your inflammation will be soothed

- You can even wave goodbye to Seasonal Affective Disorder

So now, I think Spock deserves us to thank him, because some bright spark really did invent this technology, some time after he was using it.

But it's actually been around a while..

Light therapy has been shown in over 50 years of independent research worldwide to deliver powerful therapeutic benefits to living tissues and organisms.

Both visible red, blue and “invisible” infrared light effect at least 24 positive changes at the cellular level.

Pulsed Light is the most profound, safe, and non-invasive way to "enlighten" your cells.

And I found the best for you! It's called Avalon™ Light Therapy

The Avalon Photo Pulsating Light Therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of light, pulsed at research proven frequencies applied to the skin for multiple therapeutic benefits.

Light therapy has been shown to increase circulation, stimulate the release of ATP, promote cell regeneration, speed up the healing process, relieve pain and detoxify. It can also enhance performance, mood, energy and wellbeing.

What happens during Light Therapy?

By placing various neoprene pads with numerous ingrained LED’s (Light Emitting Diodes) emitting blue, red and infra-red light energy on different areas of the surface of the body, a very safe level of light energy is transmitted to the cellular tissue creating a comforting warm feeling.

How does Light Therapy affect the body?

The photo energy dilates the blood vessels, which often causes an increase in circulation. The light and mild warmth may also reduce and alleviate pain.

Additionally, clients may experience:

-  Decrease in local swelling.

-  Decreased inflammation.

-  Decreased muscle spasms and tightness.

-  Decreased tension and aches.

-  Increased range of motion.

-  Increased lymphatic drainage and detoxification.

-  Increased venous dilation and flow.

-  An increase in sensation to pressure and hot/cold in those with decreased sensitivity.

What happens at a cellular level?

The infra-red photo energy releases nitric oxide from the red blood cell’s haemoglobin and from the cells of the vessel walls.

Nitric oxide is a signalling molecule that is known to relax smooth muscle cells found in arteries, veins, capillaries and lymph vessels. When these muscles relax, they dilate the blood vessels, thus allowing an increased circulation.

Nitric oxide is a neurotransmitter and a cellular antioxidant and has been shown to be essential for wound healing whether chronic or traumatic. It promotes cell collagen synthesis, collagen fibril alignment and angiogenesis.

Evidence indicates that cells absorb photons and transform their energy into ATP, which is used as a co-enzyme transporting chemical energy within cells for metabolism and many cellular processes, to repair or regenerate cell components, foster an abundance of cell production and increase circulation thereby restoring balance to the body.

When is Light Therapy seen helpful?

Due to laws surrounding health devices I can't list the exact applications it's used for. I encourage you to research those, and then come back to me to book your treatment.

Can anyone use Light Therapy?

Most people can use light therapy safely with the potential for many, various health benefits at a very affordable price. If you're concerned, just contact me for a chat first.

Who can't use Light Therapy?

- Don't use while pregnant anywhere near your abdomen area.

- Don't use on the eyes if you have a history of epilepsy or light sensitivity or are taking light sensitive medications.

- Don't use on localised cancer sites.

How are Sessions experienced?

You will be dressed and comfortably seated lying in a zero-balance chair  or on a treatment couch with a nice blanket over your body while having light for 20 – 40 minutes during your scheduled 30 – 50 minutes session.

Sometimes only one or a few sessions are needed. How often and how many sessions you would need, will depend on your problem and how you respond. You can have one session only and if needed, you can have up to two or three sessions per day, with a pause of minimum five hours in between.
